Leica has produced two E49-sized UVa filters, the standard 13328 and the slim 13329, the latter designed for the version 2 of the 28/35/50 Tri-Elmar. The slimmer filter was produced for that lens to preclude any vignetting at the 28mm focal length. Has anyone compared corner vignetting with these two filter types? To go off-topic slightly - how on earth is one to use a polarising filter with the all-covering lens hood? The only solution I've come up with is to remove the standard lens hood and substitute one that screws into the filter - not the most attractive setup! enboe Posted August 1, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted August 1, 2015 OK, the Q arrived, as did the filter. The 13329 goes on very nicely, very low-profile, adding only 2-3mm to the length of the lens. The lens cap fits on without issue. Well, almost without issue. That extra 2-3mm means the 19502 case will not close without being forced. Stupid case design.
