marcbo Posted July 23, 2015 Share #1 Posted July 23, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Sorry to be negative I'm a proud Leica owner since more than 20 years I have a subscription for LFI too. Because of different Leica commercial actions the end date for my subscription in the course of several years has slipped to May instead of January. Since a couple of years this slippage has a negative effect on any further commercial actions by Leica. For last year after I was promised a 6 month free subscription for LFI (because I acquired an M(240) in 2013) I didn't get it and even worse, because I waited with my payment I eventually had to pay a penalty of 10 €. I forgot what it was the year before. This year it's the same. Subscribers to LFI were promised a complimentary M book or a free SD card. Result: nada. There seems to be no internal communication on the follow-up of commercial actions on the Leica user website and LFI. I don't know if this message will have any effect. I see it as a test
Advertisement Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Hi marcbo, Take a look here Leica (internal) communication problems ?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted July 23, 2015 Share #2 Posted July 23, 2015 I'm not certain that LFI is owned by Leica. Perhaps one of our other members can enlighten us.
Manoleica Posted July 23, 2015 Share #3 Posted July 23, 2015 Hi, I would send a letter to Leica, Board of Directors.. Corporate Office. Explain the situation & I would image it will be remedied ASAP....... http://us.leica-camera.com/Company/Corporate-Profile/Board-of-Directors
andybarton Posted July 24, 2015 Share #4 Posted July 24, 2015 LFI Magazine is notorious for not knowing anything about how to manage subscriptions, send out magazines, free inducements etc. I think that it has fairly recently been bought by and brought into the Leica organisation, but that doesn't mean they will get any more efficient. hoppyman Posted July 24, 2015 Share #5 Posted July 24, 2015 Interesting Andy. I didn't know that LFI was now commercially connected to Leica (Camera I guess).I have been receiving my copies for several years mailed to me here in Australia. It costs almost exactly half the price to subscribe via Leica Camera Australia (when I asked some time ago). That may be more due to Australia Post's charges though. I was given the 6 months additional subscription added to my existing subscription on request. On one occasion I was sent a subscription expiring notice although the payment had been made. On my reply I received an apology and the correction. I had thought that other offers on an SD card or similar were for new subscribers (?) but I didn't pay too much attention there and may be mistaken.
