kinross Posted July 22, 2015 Share #1 Â Posted July 22, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am considering trying to buy a Visoflex 111 attachment. I have an M3 and M6 TTL which it should be OK with. Can any members tell me if it will fit my M9 & MM. If the answer is 'Yes ' I will start searching. Thanks in advance. Â Mike. Advertisement Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Hi kinross, Take a look here Visoflex. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pop Posted July 22, 2015 Share #2  Posted July 22, 2015 It's actually a Visoflex III (Roman numeral "three") and works perfectly well on the M8, M9 and M (Typ 240).
kinross Posted July 22, 2015 Author Share #3 Â Posted July 22, 2015 Thanks for reply Pop. Yes, I thought the 111 did not look quite right when I read the message back. I stand corrected! I will now start searching for a iii. I am not sure if it will be difficult or not to find a good one. thanks again. Mike.
spydrxx Posted July 22, 2015 Share #4 Â Posted July 22, 2015 There are lots of ones in good condition on the big auction site...just don't overpay...they're pretty cheap these days. You might also consider acquiring both the eye level and chimney finders, depending on the type of work you plan to use it for. Having both at my disposal significantly increased my usage. farnz Posted July 22, 2015 Share #5 Â Posted July 22, 2015 You might also like to consider a Bellows 2 to use with your Visoflex III for larger magnification and more flexibility. Â Note that with a Visoflex you're entering the world of Leica's weird and wonderful code names and numbers. Â I heartily recommend finding a copy of Hove's Leica Accessory Guide to help you determine the adaptors and other bits and pieces you'll inevitably need as you start to experiment with your Vioflex III. Â There is a pdf copy available online at the Butkus website at no cost other than a suggest donation although I've found the Hove book to be invaluable and satisfyingly tactile to use at little cost. kinross Posted July 22, 2015 Author Share #6 Â Posted July 22, 2015 Thanks again for advice. I will shop around on the Net and get a feel for prices. I suspect that once I have aquired the Visoflex I will be drawn in to the world of attachments.I will search for the Guide. My main reason for trying to find one is to get in closer on some subjects such as jewellery,Model Railway and Model Road Transport items. There are of course Cameras that do the job easily, but I love using my Leica and it will be a challenge! Â Mike
