ynp Posted July 8, 2015 Share #1 Posted July 8, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Bought faulty batteries as a local shop unfortunately. What is the best source of the batteries for Leica film bodies online? Thanks. Yevgeny

philipus Posted July 9, 2015 Share #2 Posted July 9, 2015 Lots of places. I buy from a Dutch shop, batterijtjes.nl, but I think you can find them at the various Amazon sites, too.

A Almulla Posted July 12, 2015 Share #4 Posted July 12, 2015 When I first got my "mint" M6 I couldn't find the recommended batteries anywhere locally and ordering them would be a pain. Bought a pair of LR44 batteries. Initially they didn't work and I thought the new batteries were dead till I gave the battery compartment and cap a rub with a dry Q-tip then it worked perfectly. Pjay Posted July 13, 2015 Share #5 Posted July 13, 2015 My 'new' M6 came with LR44 Panasonic, which works just fine. From the M6 manual: Welcome, dear visitor! Guest Posted July 13, 2015 Share #6 Posted July 13, 2015 My 'new' M6 came with LR44 Panasonic, which works just fine. From the M6 manual: If it's getting very cold the Lithium batteries 1/3 N are the best for any M6, but these are hard to find at normal electronic markets. philipus Posted July 16, 2015 Share #7 Posted July 16, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) LR44s apparently don't maintain even voltage as they deplete which may supposedly risk causing metering inaccuracies. I have used them on occasion but haven't noticed any differences in exposures (or any inaccuracy was hidden by my bad metering skills ).
Trivette Posted July 16, 2015 Share #8 Posted July 16, 2015 I usually order my batteries from http://www.batteryjunction.com/. Good prices and reasonably fast shipping.
