R99 Posted July 4, 2015 Share #1 Posted July 4, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) As above. I have seen some M9 bodies re-leathered with alligator or lizard skin. Interesting.

thighslapper Posted July 4, 2015 Share #3 Posted July 4, 2015 Yes. Arte di Mano will no doubt produce some replacements in due course ..... they are probably working on it as we speak, now that the camera is available ...... I doubt alligator would be suitable... too 'blocky' ..... but lizard skin looks nice on my X-Vario. The whole removal/replacement process took about 20 minutes and is fairly idiot proof. R99 Posted July 5, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted July 5, 2015 Cool. This is new to me. I know what to do when the leather cover wears off.
jaapv Posted July 5, 2015 Share #5 Posted July 5, 2015 I find Cameraleather (Mogan Sparks) to provide considerably better quality than Arte de Mano.

How to take the original out of the body? And is the replacement will stick as good as the original leatherette? Please advice
thighslapper Posted July 10, 2015 Share #7 Posted July 10, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) The Arte di Mano website has a video on how to do it..... basically the same for all Leica Cameras. They all use 3m double sided adhesive on the leather.... even Leica I suspect ..... The only M camera where it is fiddly is the old M9 or M-P where the frame preview lever needs removing.
