Can the Leica Q body be re-leathered like the Ms?

Yes.

 

Arte di Mano will no doubt produce some replacements in due course ..... they are probably working on it as we speak, now that the camera is available ......

 

I doubt alligator would be suitable... too 'blocky'  ..... but lizard skin looks nice on my X-Vario.

 

The whole removal/replacement process took about 20 minutes and is fairly idiot proof.

Really? How to take the original out of the body?

 

And is the replacement will stick as good as the original leatherette?

The Arte di Mano website has a video on how to do it..... basically the same for all Leica Cameras. 

 

They all use 3m double sided adhesive on the leather.... even Leica I suspect .....

 

The only M camera where it is fiddly is the old M9 or M-P where the frame preview lever needs removing.
