Thanks! Some more pictures from my recent trip, which is my first Italy trip. Second one is from Riomaggiore of Cinque Terre. Third is from the Duomo di Milan. I used to use Nikon F3HP before and find my Digilux 2 meeting my satisfaction (though it is not that easy for night time shooting).

Jaehong, all these shots have the D2's 'signature'. A great series, but I particularly like #2 and the post-rain atmosphere in #3.

As Stuart says - keep posting and keep up the good work. Oh, and you'll have to get into shooting RAW!

Thanks very much for good comments. I am still learning how to use Digilux 2 and getting an idea of when to avoid.

from this fine series it looks like you have learned a great deal

some wonderful light you captured and fascinating subjects

I look forward to seeing more of your fine photography

Dear all, this is just an example of how superb Digilux 2's 7-22,5 mm f/2.0-2.4 ASPH zoom lens is. It has no distortion or artifacts in any zooming range. This is a different shot from #2 picture and you can see the outdoor caffeteria in #2 picture at lower left side of this picture. Though EVF is annoying, automatic focusing and exposure control so slow and sometime inaccurate, it hardly fails to capture good lights on standstill objects. Some moving indoor objects without flash? it has been a long time since I forgot about that. In night time shooting, I find even annoying EVF becomes helpful. It usually gives me a correct feeling about exposure control in detail.

Cheers,

Jaehong

Yes, thanks for sharing these stunning photos. I've been contemplating using my Leica customer appreciation discount and getting the Digilux 3. I've never had an SLR and would like to get either the Leica or the Panasonic version to learn on. I LOVE the 16:9 aspect ratio. It makes my boyfriend, who would like to have the camera size of my D-Lux 3, and the 16:9 ratio for the views he gets while climbing. He'll have to get his own, though. I don't let my D-Lux 3 out of sight! It goes everywhere with me :)
