Advertisement Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Hi john79456, Take a look here English Loco. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest flatfour Posted July 31, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 31, 2006 This looks like the Riddles Standard 4 on the Bluebell railway. I now nothing about engines but I had to take my grandson there and learn up everything before we went. Very atmospheric. Those were the days. I think the pic could do with lightening a bit, but oherwise very good.

Guest rubidium Posted August 1, 2006 Share #4 Posted August 1, 2006 Fantastic! There's not one aspect of this shot that doesn't contribute to transporting one back in time. Jim
john79456 Posted August 2, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted August 2, 2006 Thank you so much for your input Anthony & Jim, yes it was my intention to try to recreate a time long ago, perhaps the same era that this lens was made, (1938 uncoated Elmar). I am glad you think it has worked. Kind Regards, John.
