In the USA Leica does not extend warranty to a second owner. The camera will still be under factory warranty, however.

So what does having factory warranty vs. USA Leica warranty mean? There is a difference? You send it it to Germany if it breaks, not USA service center?

I just came a cross a leica Q2 with Firmware 5.0 that has the hidden menue from this video...  Serial Number is also 000... in the menu, however there i a real serial number on the bottom.

doesn't tell us how to get there, though.

 

As his camera shows a serial number of 000000 in the hidden menu, I would assume that he got a preproduction loaner from Leica that had the hidden menu activated. Also shows a higher firmware no. 1.02, while mine is still on 1.0 and I haven't seen any new firmware so far.
