Advertisement Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Hi cocker, Take a look here I hear those voices that will not be drowned. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stunsworth Posted May 20, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 20, 2007 Nice shot Keith. This is one of those places I've been meaning to go to for some time. I think of it as being desolate, though the reality is probably that it's crawling with tourists <grin>
cocker Posted May 20, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted May 20, 2007 Nice shot Keith. This is one of those places I've been meaning to go to for some time. I think of it as being desolate, though the reality is probably that it's crawling with tourists <grin> Thanks Steve, It's well worth visiting - we rented a house on the Crag Path seafront for a week at the end of March and it was very quiet. I imagine as the summer comes on - especially during the festival - it does get swarming - probably with rather pretentious southerners to boot!! biglouis Posted May 20, 2007 Share #4 Posted May 20, 2007 Keith Wow! That is an amazing picture. The composition and contrast are excellent. It is also a fantastic advert for the M8 and the Zeiss Biogon. Hypothetically if one were getting an M8, do you think the Biogon is as good as the 24 asph? Have you managed to code the lens? LouisB Louis, thanks very much. I think very highly of the Biogon - but I don't have the 24 asph Leica so can't compare. the Biogon produces very sharp well delineated images and its colour rendition is very pleasing. I haven't tried to code the lens - and in fact it brings up the 35mm frame lines in the M8 but for about 60 euros Zeiss with change the mount to bring up the 24mm lines. I haven't bothered and just switch the lines manually. Best wishes

macos Posted May 20, 2007 Share #7 Posted May 20, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) A very remarkable image. The framing is unusual but gives the picture the spicy note. Thanks for showing! BR Marcus

andybarton Posted May 20, 2007 Share #11 Posted May 20, 2007 Nice one Keith. We were talking about Southwold only this morning as a good place for a long weekend. The East coast is so different from the West.
