Can anyone help??? I'm very interested in purchasing the V-Lux 1, but I'd like to also purchase an external TTL flash. I've been SEARCHING the internet, the Leica website, the VLux1 manual (downloaded), and I cannot find any recommended flashes. Then I found your forum. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I'm currently a Nikon D-SLR user, thinking about migrating over. Thanks!

sorry to crap on this thread but am i correct in thinking that all Oly e- system flashes will work with the V-lux ?

digital E yes

if you are in doubt consult this table

Photo Strobe Trigger Voltages

you can use appropriate AUTO flash too, but of course you wont get TTL

they will be dumb units and you have to adjust iso/aperture etc

As an owner of Panny FZ50(Leica Vlux 1), I was little disappointed in FL35~

But, I heard FL50 is so much better in recycling time. (Good for family occasion like wedding and graduation that are popular in may)

i think that requires the appropriate SCA adapter

am I right ?

For some flashlights from metz a sca adapter is required. The 44 AF-4 O needs this adapter not. It is espcially made for olypums e-system. Thus it works well with the leica v-lux 1, too. I use this combination by myself.

I got the V-Lux 1 last year, been looking for Leica SD 24,as recommended by NJ Leica rep.,it's on & off out of stock. Just got one last week. I'll post some pics soon.

Elmer, I dont think the SD-24 is compatible with V-Lux 1, are you sure about this ?
