kcnarf1 Posted May 29, 2015 Share #1 Posted May 29, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) The process of downloading the complimentary copy of LR6 resulted in Leica sending me a redemption code that was a combination of digits and letters. But when I attempted to install that copy of LR6, Adobe confronted me with blank boxes that would only accept digits; so I could not install. What to do??? Advertisement Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Hi kcnarf1, Take a look here Problem in Installing LR6 for the M 246. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
0Raakkeli Posted May 29, 2015 Share #2 Posted May 29, 2015 There's a link in the email where the redemption code was sent to you. Use the redemption code there. And you'll get the license code for the LR6. Here's the link: https://redeem.licenses.adobe.com/getserial "Please note: In order to download software at Adobe’s website, you will need an “Adobe ID” – a user account which gives you access to all Adobe’s own services. An account can be easily created by providing your e-mail address, a password of your choice, your name and country of residence."
kcnarf1 Posted May 29, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted May 29, 2015 Many thanks for your attempt to help. But what you advise is what I did! I clicked on the link, and that is where I tried to enter the redemption code received from Leica. But the bank boxes provided by Adobe would not accept the letters in that code; they would only accept the digits. So I could not install.
0Raakkeli Posted May 29, 2015 Share #4 Posted May 29, 2015 So if you copy the whole redemption code from your email and click the first blank box and paste the redemption code into it and press "Redeem" button. What happens then? Do you get some kind of error message or what? Edit. Don't write the code in the boxes. Just copy and paste. Edit2. When you enter the code and press redeem does it state that the code is invalid or something else?
kcnarf1 Posted May 29, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted May 29, 2015 I tried to copy & paste the code, as well as to write it. The blank boxes accepted the digits, but not the letters. They simply ran all the numbers together and omitted the intervening letters. There was no statement of invalidity when I pressed the redeem button. nevertheless, I was not allowed access to the following page.
Jeff S Posted May 29, 2015 Share #6 Posted May 29, 2015 Suggest you either call Adobe support or post on their forum. Jeff
0Raakkeli Posted May 30, 2015 Share #7 Posted May 30, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I tried again with my redemption code and everything worked fine. Last thing I can think of is that there is some problem with the browser. I used Chrome and everything went fine. Edit. And if that doesn't help you should contact Adobe support because that is just weird.
tobey bilek Posted May 30, 2015 Share #8 Posted May 30, 2015 Access your Adobe account to be sure your copy is registered and you COPY the serial # someplace safe so you can move it to another computer and/or get an upgrade at upgrade price. The serial is not your redemption code. Adobe will tend to not tell you where to look, but I assure you it is accessible perhaps under help.
Edward Louis Marit Posted June 14, 2015 Share #9 Posted June 14, 2015 How do you find the serial numbers? That's a good idea.
