yadillah Posted May 19, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 19, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have capture1 LE and am wondering if it is worth up-dating to Pro. I am not sure of the difference between them. This has probably been covered before, so if it has, please excuse me asking again.
Advertisement Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Hi yadillah, Take a look here Capture 1 Pro vs LE. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
David Wogan Posted May 19, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 19, 2007 For me, the crucial difference was that you can apply individual colour profiles to each image with the Pro version. With the LE, you're stuck with one global profile. Also, Pro has a very useful image rotation feature that maintains the image aspect ratio during rotation. Both of these features were must have for me.
AGeoJO Posted May 19, 2007 Share #3 Posted May 19, 2007 One of the difference that I remembered was the Pro lets you processed as many files as you want while the LE is limited to a certain number. Somehow, 20 is what stuck in my mind but I may be wrong here. I am sure that there additional differences like tethered working capabilities, etc. but that doesn't directly apply to M8 users. As far as getting additional profiles concerned......, hmm, there is a trick. You can get the trial version of the most recent Pro with the new profiles and they will be available on your LE as well, even after the trial period is over. That's what I read/heard but I am not sure whether it still works that way. Since I am using a Pro version I never tried that route. You can always give it a shot at no cost . I agree 100% that the lack of those features made LE a no-no, but I suspect we found different alternatives ;-) T
