Advertisement Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Hi stunsworth, Take a look here A quiet donkey day on Blackpool beach. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
biglouis Posted May 19, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 19, 2007 Steve What a great picture. Really nice colours and great framing. Personally, I would have cloned out the donkeys close to the pier so the beach was completely empty. LouisB
stunsworth Posted May 19, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted May 19, 2007 Louis I agree about the donkeys in the distance. The original crop didn't include them, but I wanted as much of the pier in the frame as possible, I should have cloned them out at the same time. Thanks for looking. macos Posted May 19, 2007 Share #4 Posted May 19, 2007 A really fine picture. I think there is room for interpretation in it! BR Marcus
stuny Posted May 19, 2007 Share #5 Posted May 19, 2007 Steve - I'm glad you left the donkeys in. Without them this would "only" be an excellent, subtle landscape with two drab colors. With them it's very amusing, and the touch of red on the donkeys adds interest much as does a touch of red in many paintings of the Hudson River School. marc_dufour Posted May 19, 2007 Share #6 Posted May 19, 2007 Another elegant and suggestive framing, Steve. Well done. Marc
