When collecting, I was fascinated by the "complete sets", especially the ones in fitted leather cases. Sometimes, I found the case first, then struggled - sometimes for months - to completely fit it. And sometimes, I was lucky enough as to acquire a complete one.

It was the case for the most valuable of all my "sets" - and probably one of the most valuable items in my Fontenelle Collection - : the "not-standardized" Leica I serial 52591 "LENEU", with its three Elmar lenses : 35 EKURZ, 50 ELMAR and 135 mm EFERN, all three engraved "591". It came as a LEDRI set in its fitted leather case ETGAM, containing also three filters, three close-up lenses ELPRO-ELPIK-ELPET, a VISOR viewfinder, a WINKO angle viewfinder and a brown fiber double holder with its two FILCA "A" cassettes. A true marvel.

Totally different, but also very interesting, a case for a black - yes : BLACK ! - Leica IIIc nº509174 with Elmar 3,5, Summitar 5, Elmar 9 et Hektor 13,5 cm lenses, FIKUS extensible and SOOPD folding shades, four A36 black mount, and four screw-in (Summitar) filters, and 3 cassettes in alu containers.
