stunsworth Posted May 18, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 18, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Ok, one final shot from the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool. Here's a view from the balcony at the back of the dance floor looking towards the stage. £13 to get in, but I think I got my money's worth from a photographic point of view :-) M8, 24mm ASPH Elmarit
Advertisement Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Hi stunsworth, Take a look here Tower Ballroom - last one!. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
elansprint72 Posted May 18, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 18, 2007 ......but I think I got my money's worth from a photographic point of view :-) So do I! your B&W images have caught the mood of this place (which must have a million stories to tell) but aren't the colours fabulous? I guess that you would require a 10x8 techno-cam to do it real justice in colour. That puny organ looks nothing like the massive Wurlitzer which used to rise up through the floor, as the actress said.....etc.
azzo Posted May 18, 2007 Share #3 Posted May 18, 2007 Steve, Your 3 images from this place would make a lovely set hanging somewhere nice in your home. Another lovely capture, well done. Azzo

stunsworth Posted May 19, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted May 19, 2007 Thanks guys, I really need to get a decent b&w printer - I think I may have said that before :-) Pete, the mighty organ that Reginald Dixon used to mount on a daily basis had just been withdrawn under the stage. This pup had replaced it.

geretics Posted May 23, 2007 Share #12 Posted May 23, 2007 Lovely! I like your second one mostly for its power built on simplicity. Because of strong contrast on such a sophisticated background and a rich story, this third one amuses me in a different way. --Jaehong
