Suggestion to Leica on how to avoid a long frustrating repair time

Following up on having handed my M over for rf adjustment back in February I received documentation from Mayfair last week that it finally shipped out of Germany on the 11th, although a DHL strike was taking place at the time (ending on the 17th) and I can only put further delay down to what I presume to be some kind of backlog as I have yet to receive word of my camera's safe arrival back in London. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry having also been told that, due to the strike, my camera was shipped without any tracking information. I gritted my teeth at the news, that much I do recall.

 

I'm glad you finally got your M back, Stef. I'm melancholy at the thought of ending many years of having M's in my life for both work and pleasure, but Leica is not a company I can personally trust in future. Naturally I hope that for everyone else's sake things pick up and improve promptly.
