Type240's tripod mount location

Recommended Posts

Hi Jochion, it did not matter too much the location (which is usually in the "middle" of the camera) but it is especially a very solid tripod you would have to avoid the wind (not strong) will make the camera dropped and to support big lens such as 135mm.

Thx Henry... My concern was not stability when mounted on a tripod, but instead dotting my "i's" and crossing my "t's" when doing single or multi-row panoramic photography.

And it works just fine with what you want to do.

I finally broke down and bought an M-P. The centering mark on the base of the Really Right Stuff grip/Arca Swiss dovetail base corresponds precisely to the center of the tripod mount (which the RRS base uses to attach to the camera). The grip can be bought with an L for vertical shooting that is also indexed for lens center.
