enboe Posted May 6, 2015 Share #1 Posted May 6, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Inspired by the ability of the M246 to shoot HD B&W video, I tried a quick experiment with the M240. I put the camera into DNG+JPG and chose B&W for a color space, and low and behold, it shoots B&W video. I must experiment more this weekend. Anyone try a side-by-side B&W video comparison between the M240 and M246? Eric
Advertisement Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Hi enboe, Take a look here B&W HD video with M240 (I didn't know you could do that!). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
CheshireCat Posted May 7, 2015 Share #2 Posted May 7, 2015 It is interesting to understand the difference between the two cameras. I don't have a M246, but my educated guess is: - Both will have the same resolution in low-noise conditions. - M246 advantage: less noise. - M240 advantage: more flexibility (shoot color and then convert to B&W in post).
