Clifton Cameras - well done!

This is not an unusual thread..but I think it's worth spreading good stories..

 

Towards the end of last year, after quite a long search I tracked down an almost mint chrome M9-P at Clifton Cameras. The service was first class and the body was delivered by courier less than 24 hours after I bought it - amazing!

 

A little while ago I spotted what looked like dust on the sensor (I don't tend to shoot lots of sky at small apertures). I eMailed a snap to Clifton Cameras for an opinion. Word came back that it did look like dust but the company doesn't clean sensors. I was offered the option of having a courier collect the body and deliver it to Leica. Long story short the sensor had suffered corrosion so was replaced. It was  sent back to me by courier yesterday.

 

So - all I had to do was put the body in its box and hand it to the courier, wait (the hardest part!) then receive it back from the courier. No cost to me at all. I think it's good to know that when things go wrong - as they always may - companies like Clifton Cameras and Leica are there to do a great job. 

 

The usual disclaimer - I have no connection with Clifton Cameras other than being a very satisfied customer that has no hesitation in recommending them.

I had problems with my first Leica T .... and they were very understanding and exchanged it for a replacement by return of post. 

Always friendly and will go out of their way to find out/sort out problems and queries .... even if it means asking someone else and phoning you back. 

They have first call on my Leica cash whenever I am after something .......
