I recently bought a Fujifilm X-T1 as a backup for my Leica M240 (will the Leica become a backup to the Fuji instead?!)

Yesterday I added an XF 56mm f1.2 and decided to shoot a collection of brassware at home for comparison between an Apo-Summicron 90mm and Fujinon 56mm (effective 84mm). The Leica's full frame still gives a shallower depth of field. The Leica rendered the images a little too warm and the Fujifilm files are a little too cool. I do like the Summicron images a better but the Fujinon images are very good indeed.

The images are shot at ISO800.  The Summicron 90mm at f2 and f5.6 while the Fujinon at f1.2 and f5.6.  The file size restrictions on this forum are too small so I have just one image here. (Apo-Summicron 900, ISO800, f2).  For more please see http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/55707782

I much prefer the warmer tone of the summicron pics, but I think this could be reached with minor correction of white balance in the fuji too.

At open f-stop looking at the bookshelf in the back I'm astonished that the depth of field is sooo much lesser with the full frame 2.0 than 1.2 crop!

I had the fuji too, but sold it: on it's own Fujis are great items but in direct comparision the feel of Leica is much more valuable, stronger made, haptic feeling is not to compare. I think Your brassware should be copper, brass does not have ductility to get hammered to such thin wallthickness.
