farnz Posted April 24, 2015 Share #1 Posted April 24, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) When replying to a PM with multiple receivers there doesn't appear to be any way of knowing who your reply is going to (if not all receivers) and no way to choose who to send it to or to omit receivers. Have I missed something somewhere? Pete.

farnz Posted April 25, 2015 Author Share #7 Posted April 25, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, Chuck, I agree, and only the unlucky hit it by accident. (I suspect we've all done that at some time and are left shouting "NO NO NO!" in panic at the screen … ) But there is no 'reply to all' button in the PMs. I can now see a panel at the top left of screen in PMs that tells you who the 'participants' are and offers the option to block any or all, which is an improvement if not entirely intuitive. pop Posted April 25, 2015 Share #8 Posted April 25, 2015 It's like this. This forum does not actually support PMs as we know from the last one. In place of private messages (which worked quite like a mail system) it now does "conversations". A conversation behaves much like a thread but has up to five explicitly named participants. Each participant can add further members to join in the conversation, up to a grand total of five members. All members who have been added to the conversation can see all of the conversation at any time. Participants can be "blocked"; blocked participants are still listed as participants and can be "unblocked" again. However, while they are blocked, they can not see the conversation at all; once they are unblocked again, they see all of the conversation again, even those parts which have been written while they have been blocked. To learn more about this system, look for the "Personal Messenger" in the forum's help file.
