stuny Posted May 17, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 17, 2007 Pierre-Olivier - I really like the play of the subject red and bits of bokeh red against what is essentially a monochrome background. I also like the framing and light. However, I feel it needs sharpening.

From time to time I feel a bit short of sharpening with LR On the preview the image was sharper, but when posted in the Forum something is missing... wda Posted May 17, 2007 Share #4 Posted May 17, 2007 For a moment I thought you had desaturated the background, so effective is the contrast with the rose. Lovely. David
stuny Posted May 17, 2007 Share #5 Posted May 17, 2007 Pierre-Olivier - Maybe this is the key: In my work flow the last thing I do is sharpening. Just before that I resize the file for the Internet. If you are not doing it in that order, perhaps that would explain why it doesn't look as sharp once posted.

wda Posted May 19, 2007 Share #10 Posted May 19, 2007 Pierre-Olivier, Do not fret; we can get too hung up over sharpness. We all do it, but sometimes a slight softness can help convey the mood you experienced. David
