erl Posted April 23, 2015 Share #3 Posted April 23, 2015 Stuart, your image has commented on something I have been aware of for some time and is clearly illustrated here, IMO. ie. the 'robotic' expressionless attitude so common nowadays as sooo many protagonists stare at their phones and tablets, viewing scenes of wonderment through a screen of pixels. Once, people used to show emotion when viewing something that impressed them. Now, it seems to be more important to record the subject than the the live experience. I know I have overstated the facts, but the impression is true. You have captured it all here in a nano second. An historical comment.
allamande Posted April 26, 2015 Share #4 Posted April 26, 2015 It's part of the "sharing" culture as well. They need to record and post it on whatever social network, perhaps without taking a bit more time to further enjoy the moment and reflect on it. After all, there is another "experience" that they all have to move on to, right around the corner. Stuart, I love the poster across the street mirroring the figures (and watching over the scene). Very cleverly done! Ece
