andcolor Posted April 19, 2015 Share #1 Posted April 19, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yesterday my M9 sent a message that 'the battery is low turn off' . I came home replaced it with another & recharged the battery. Later in the day both chargers indicate full charge but 'info' says 25% and the one with the message is still giving the message. Any thoughts about what is going on? Dead batteries? Sick camera. Wounded charger? Linda

andcolor Posted April 20, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted April 20, 2015 Original batteries...but rather ancient...6 years old probably.
jaapv Posted April 20, 2015 Share #4 Posted April 20, 2015 So, at the end of their lifespan - I'd try a new battery first ( a real one, not a cheap knock-off)
drolfe Posted April 20, 2015 Share #5 Posted April 20, 2015 Had the same problem with new "real" batteries. Charged it up, looked good in the charger, got "low battery" message in the camera. Thought, "Ok, I'll just run it ALL the way down in the camera, then try charging." So I started clicking away. Thirty frames...50 frames...60. Looked at the "info." Full green bar. Hmmm. Shot with the camera two days before it finally, really went dead. Charged it up again, same message of low battery. Ignored it and kept shooting, checked later and saw the green bar full again. The M9 had just returned from New Jersey for a full CLA and new sensor. I blame Obamacare.
andcolor Posted April 20, 2015 Author Share #6 Posted April 20, 2015 Hmmm is right. Could be the charger is funky. Or (hope not) the camera has a headache. I'll order a new battery and see what happens. And yes...Obamacare surely has a hand in this....
