jtharvie Posted July 31, 2006 Share #1 Posted July 31, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is right at the Winnipeg city limits where the Great Plains begin North of the 48th. About 20 kilometers East of the Geographic Center of Canada. Taken at sunrise this Saturday . . . would have liked some clouds . . . maybe next week. Shot RAW with very little Photoshop other than Highlights, Contrast & Cooling Filter on the sky. Note to those in the UK, if you got on the train in Halifax on the East Coast of Canada and traveled nonstop, it would take a full 5 or 6 days to get to this point. stuny Posted July 31, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 31, 2006 John - Excellent idea to contrast the plains against the close-up sunflowers. Excellent shot -- early morning, or late afternoon?
jtharvie Posted July 31, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted July 31, 2006 Hi Stuart, This was taken about 6:30 am which at this time of year is just after sunrise. I am hoping for some clouds next Saturday and I can use a polorizing filter to make them pop. Thanks, JTH
