pgk Posted April 14, 2015 Share #1 Posted April 14, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have been potentially offered an old Coolscan for free, the drawback being that it has a SCSI connection. Is there any way of adapting SCSI so that I can run it into a current Mac Book Pro (or my oldest Mac - a 2009 iMac)? Or is the solution going to be to find an older Mac which will take a SCSI card? andybarton Posted April 14, 2015 Share #2 Posted April 14, 2015 Aren't there SCSI to USB adaptors available? How good they are or how well they work, I don't know.
peterbengtson Posted April 14, 2015 Share #3 Posted April 14, 2015 scsi to usb works fine except you cannot daisy chain multiple scsi devices on the adapter like you did on a scsi port.
gyoung Posted April 15, 2015 Share #4 Posted April 15, 2015 Can you tell me a particular adaptor that works ok please? I have a Coolscan III that could see some use if I had scsi available. Gerry
