rafael_macia Posted May 16, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 16, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a Viso III with the eyelevel finder. I would like to use a diopter (a -4), and the Viso III is not a screw in eyepiece. Someone told me the Viso III uses the Leicaflex SL diopters. Could some one let me know what type of diopter the Viso III uses. If anyone knows where I might find one, that would be great! Thanks! doubice Posted May 16, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 16, 2007 Hello Rafael, I knew that my hoarding of old Leitz catalogues will come in handy sometimes....... Yes, the Visoflex III and the Leicaflex eyepieces were identical. The Leica order number for the adapter was 14118; to order one the owner had to supply Leitz with their prescription and Leitz would ship the adapter with the proper correction lens in place. That's sort of the good news. The bad news is that I have no idea where you could find one now. Leica New Jersey is probably not too far from you - give them a try. Or - good old eBay; you never know what you may find there....... Best, Jan
