You're welcome. They're very impressive. Astia and Velvia were probably my two favorite color films and those versions in the VSCO actions seem overdone to me. The C1 ones seem a lot more usable to me and maybe give the spirit of Astia in particular if not the contrast.

As far as I can see on my C1, the only Leica lense supported is Summicron 50mm f/2.

By the way, there are two versions of ICC profiles in C1 for M240: Leica M240 Generic and Leica M240 Generic V2. Does anyone know what the differences between the two are?

I can't really tell any difference. They both look pretty much the same to me.

Photos with red color or with warmer cast will be more obvious. The following are from M240, no PP except for V1 (the first ) and V2 (the second):

I cannot upload the second pic. I don't know why.

The above v2 is wrong. Please delete them. I have tried many times, no success.

I am giving up. I seems that whatever I upload, it shows v1 pic. I wonder why.

I would try another time. This time the two versions of the pic are combined to a single pic: left=v1 and right=v2.

That matches what I thought I'd been seeing too. The v2 profile is warmer and has more magenta tint.

My (completely uninformed) guess would be they did v1 and wanted to do a better job but didn't want to remove v1 for people who'd gotten used to it. They still have the "classic" clarity mode basically so they don't ruin people's workflow who have been using a certain set of settings for the last decade.

As a follow-up, I’ve been continuing to work with C1 and LR and here’s where I currently am: for the M240 and M246, I have to stay in Lightroom. Except in very rare circumstances, I can’t seem to get the processing to look like I want in C1. For the Q, it’s a different story. I would say about half the time I end up in LR and the other half the time I end up in C1. It seems to just depend. For instance, the attached image. I could not get this to look the way I wanted it LR, it looked too lifeless. C1, I was able to get the color right. The color here is relatively complicated since his face is getting filled by orange, green and blue from the ground. In other cases, the files look a ton better in LR.

Once I compared LR and C1, particularly, of red color, taken by M240+50/1.4a.

Here is the results:

Left=LR : Right=C1

It's very difficult to make a conclusion based on small web images, but I am looking at your red image and make the exact opposite conclusion to you, C1 looks way better. There is significantly more contrast and detail in the red portion of the C1 image whereas the red in the LR version looks blown out and unnatural. Each to their own I guess...

More specific: LR v5.7 and C1 v8.2, both suficiently up-to-date.

I also found out the difference depends on lens model. For M240+50/2cron, the difference is marginal and negligible.

I personally conjectured that LR is more mature with old lens 50/2 cron but not so mature with the newer lens 50/1.4a, with the files from M240. C1 appear to perform more consistly.

Not me. My conclusion is also that I prefer C1 in most circumstances.

I agree; the red in the C1 version looks much better to me, LR looks blown out.

I'll keep plugging away with M240 files in LR, maybe I haven't yet learned how to get those where I want.
