I coded it as a tri elmar.  Looks great.

Might be an old question :) What was the general consensus on both the 6bit coding and also the profile in lightroom with the Heliar 15mm III?

Cheers,

Same here Tri-Elmar. I don't believe the M10M does any corrections to the DNG in camera. It's just for identification. Then I use Lenstagger to tag it Voigtländer and eventually I apply the LR lens correction for the Voigtländer.

These were taken in the old "Elbtunnel" in Hamburg. Yes. We took the stairs.

M10M, ISO 2500, f/8 (roughly), 1/25s, hand held.

M10M, ISO 16000, f/4 (roghly), 1/25s, hand held with a little bit of motion blur but neglectable.

I rarely use these lens. But when I use them I get pictures my beloved (and sold) Q3 just could not capture.

Makes sense, which one of the two in Lightroom do you use? Theirs one that when you hover over shows Sony at the end and another that does not. I know it seems obvious that the Sony wouldn’t be the correct one but it looks like it has better vignetting correction than the non-Sony…

I don't see any Sony coming up. This is how I approach it.

  • Coded my Voigtländer 15mm as Tri-Elmar 16-18-21. Camera detects it as such.
  • This is how it appears in LR after import
  • Then select all pictures taken with the Tri-Elmar and change EXIF to Voigtländer using Lenstagger
  • Then I select all pictures taken with that lens and apply the lens correction for the Voigtländer

I hope that answers your question.
