JPP1 Posted July 31, 2016 Share #21  Posted July 31, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) The camera had firmware 1.1   So, here is the issue. Remember the current firmware in your camera is responsible for locating the update package and initiating the update process.  They probably never tested that because they used more up to date cameras. And testing updates between all possible combinations of current and new version rapidly becomes a nightmare because of the fast growing number of possibilities.  Trust my experience (i'm a software engineer): never a good idea to make a big step in firmware update on any kind of device. Just make sure you are not lagging to much behind the current version.  Now, that the issue is narrowed down to something more specific, I suggest you send an e-mail to Customer support, emphasizing the firrmware version you tried to update from. At least, they can add a warning in the update instructions.   Jean-Pierre
