Aperture and new Apple Photos app

Just a quick note, I have been playing with the new Photos app released with the beta version of Yosemite 10.10.3 today. As many suspected this is definitely not the Aperture replacement that was hoped for. It is clearly a step ahead of iPhoto but I am pleased I made the move to Lightroom rather than waiting.

I've not downloaded the beta - the main change seems to be the inclusion of the Photos app (though I'm sure there are other changes under the hood).

What I've seen of the Photos app makes me think that it's an improvement on iPhoto, but probably a big disappointment for anyone using Aperture.

To loyal Aperture users: Why not use Apple Photos with On1's Perfect Photo Suite 9 as an inexpensive layers plug-in that for photographers is easily 95+ % of Photoshop? And it's fast and easy to master! On1 also continually puts online easy-to-follow tutorial videos & advice from diverse photographic points of view. Not only that, but Perfect Photo Suite also plugs in to Light Room, Photo Shop, and PS Elements-- or can be used alone.

I had a quick look, and it seems to be priced around, or slightly above, that of Lightroom. I think it's more likely for Aperture users to move towards Lightroom.
