chris_tribble Posted May 22, 2007 Share #22 Â Posted May 22, 2007 Hooray - the JM adaptor really does the business - but watch out with the nail varnish!! :-)
DaveB Posted May 22, 2007 Share #23 Â Posted May 22, 2007 I'm planning to do this too and want to make sure I have my "head straight". Â - I have John M's email for ordering a CV15 Leica thread-to-Leica M adapter. Â - I want the 9cm version which, I guess, brings up 28mm framelines on the M8. Â - I have the latest firmware update. Â - Then I code the adapter to mimic the WATE. Â - Then I perform that magic thingy with the UV/IR filter, a rubber O-ring and a gerbil. Â - I turn "Lens detection on" and select 16mm... Â Have I forgotten something or am I good to go? Â Also, won't this same adapter, coded appropriately, do the trick for me and my CV28?
scott kirkpatrick Posted May 22, 2007 Share #24 Â Posted May 22, 2007 Yes to all but the gerbil. And the same adapter works for your 28, but code it as one of the 28s. Â scott
