Seforeman Posted February 18, 2015 Share #1 Posted February 18, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does the use of the M8 require (or strongly recommend) the use of filters on the lenses? I am currently purchasing one and am planning on using my 35mm, 50mm and 90mm (vintage mid 60's glass). But none of my lenses have filters, outside of protection, are the needed? Thanks in advance Stuart
Advertisement Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Hi Seforeman, Take a look here Question on M8 and filters. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
dpitt Posted February 18, 2015 Share #2 Posted February 18, 2015 If you only want to shoot B&W there is no problem. Colors, especially in artificial light and on artificial fabrics are off when not using filters. This can not be corrected in Photoshop, so if you care for natural colors, filters are required. B+W or Leica both are excellent optical quality, plenty of used ones on offer nowadays.
