Does the use of the M8 require (or strongly recommend) the use of filters on the lenses? I am currently purchasing one and am planning on using my 35mm, 50mm and 90mm (vintage mid 60's glass). But none of my lenses have filters, outside of protection, are the needed?

Thanks in advance

Stuart

If you only want to shoot B&W there is no problem.

Colors, especially in artificial light and on artificial fabrics are off when not using filters.

This can not be corrected in Photoshop, so if you care for natural colors, filters are required.

B+W or Leica both are excellent optical quality, plenty of used ones on offer nowadays.
