If only I knew what you are talking about.

But since you say paterson, i can only guess it's a plastic thing and i do not recommend those at all, ever.

Go stainless steal, like a real Leicaman.

:D ...

it is the emotion :)

Just finished developing a quick test roll from a new (to me) M7 only to find the white seal from the Paterson Tank System 4 in the sink as I start the rinsing process.......

James, congratulations for your first roll ... the result ? :)

Post your pictures here ... and here

Thanks NB23 but the old plastic Paterson has served well over the years......

Doc - will certainly post - finally got here via an M2 and and M6TTL. Although I'm happy to manually meter (either in my head or with an external/internal meter) AE mode is just too nice to have in some circumstances!

Is that the old screw-top tank with the L-section round seal that fits in the lid? If so, presumably you were not agitating with inversions!

PS - congrats on the M7 :)

That's the one. I did notice a tad more of a leak than normal on inverting but nothing that made me think anything amiss at the time. Clearly the seal is more of a liquid seal than one that allows light in - the screw thread obviously helps there.

Original post was more out of initial frustration than anything - I guess I was hoping someone would say all would be ok!

I'm using JOBO for over 20 years now. Plastic without a problem. I'm not a real Leica man: The Leica Man

:D;)
