But since you say paterson, i can only guess it's a plastic thing and i do not recommend those at all, ever. Go stainless steal, like a real Leicaman. Doc - will certainly post - finally got here via an M2 and and M6TTL. Although I'm happy to manually meter (either in my head or with an external/internal meter) AE mode is just too nice to have in some circumstances! Is that the old screw-top tank with the L-section round seal that fits in the lid? If so, presumably you were not agitating with inversions! I did notice a tad more of a leak than normal on inverting but nothing that made me think anything amiss at the time. Clearly the seal is more of a liquid seal than one that allows light in - the screw thread obviously helps there. The white ring is meant to keep the liquid in the tank during inversion and doesn't affect the light-tightness. (If it did, it wouldn't be white, would it?)
