honcho Posted February 10, 2015 Share #27 Â Posted February 10, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) From my past experiences of seeing various examples of 'Mint', it can mean whatever the seller wants it to mean. Â Applying your own definition of 'Mint' might be more sensible as a buyer.
LocalHero1953 Posted February 11, 2015 Share #28 Â Posted February 11, 2015 Urban Dictionary say:( Urban Dictionary: Bint ) [sARCASM] Now that's some fine talk... [/sARCASM] Â Hmm, maybe. Not a usage I'm familiar with, but then my ignorance of slang knows no bounds. It's Arabic for "girl" or "daughter", which is how I've used it*. I believe it entered English via colonial India, and my awareness of it as slang is just as a non-perjorative term for a girl, used among expat Brits. I shall have to be careful in future. But it does rhyme with "mint"! Â *Edit: this was in a discussion about why I had three bints, and what I was going to have to do in order to get an ibn next time. SJP Posted February 11, 2015 Share #30  Posted February 11, 2015 Nothing rhymes with pint  I believe "ain't" Aussie version is closeish especially after a few pints.  But admittedly the universal fount of truth rhymezone is stymied RhymeZone rhyming dictionary and thesaurus  The word "kint" exists but is slang, impolite, recent, Swedish or Yiddish and probably is pronounced differently. No progress there. Can one do a reverse phonetic search? That would be another strategy.

I can do that, but I don't know if that's allowed according to LUF rules?  Hi Paulus, oops, sorry for the typo. Thanks for the PM. Whether or not names are allowed within the forum rules, I can only say my previous experience of these people was not a happy one, so maybe it might be best not to name them.
