gyoung Posted January 26, 2015 Share #1 Posted January 26, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have regretfully come to the conclusion that I am unlikely to set up my darkroom again, the simplicity of scanning and printing on the Epson has got to me! Consequently there are two enlargers for sale in the buy/sell section, a Durst M601 with CLS66 colour head and condensers etc. In good working order. The other is a Focomat 1a which I rescued and restored about 30 years ago, its a 'user' but has functioned perfectly well over a long period. Renovations included having one of the parrallel arms brazed as it had been broken, and the baseboard was treated to a sander/planer and repolished to look good. Prices are modest, but I am much more interested in them going to a 'good home', so negotiations are welcome, they are in Nottingham (UK) and would need collecting or delivering. There are also all the usual dishes, safelights, drying racks available with the enlargers as required, 'at no extra cost'. There are two other enlargers which I rescued but never got round to restoring, a Johnson 5x4, and an Envoy 6cmx9cm, these are available for free if collected, you could give a donation to the forum! Hoping to part with these soon, space needed! If not sold here they will go to a dealer or the dump Gerry
Advertisement Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Hi gyoung, Take a look here Giving up!. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
xalo Posted February 4, 2015 Share #2 Posted February 4, 2015 Gerry, Hopefully someone contacted you in the meantime. I would be tempted to pick up the Durst, would I live close enough... Taking up (probably rather learning) again, to make wet prints is nagging me since a while now. Good luck! It would be terrible to dump the fine gear. gyoung Posted February 5, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted February 5, 2015 Not a single response as yet I'm afraid Alexander, I presume you are not in the uk? Gerry
xalo Posted February 6, 2015 Share #4 Posted February 6, 2015 Gerry, too bad. Most of the time I'm located in Paris and have not crossed the channel since quite some time. I would think that shipping either of the two is a chore and a risk... Alexander
gyoung Posted February 6, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted February 6, 2015 Yes Paris would be a problem! We had along holiday in France last year but aren't planning anything soon. As you say shipping would be a problem without original packaging! Thanks for the interest anyway! Gerry
