RogerW Posted January 25, 2015 Share #1 Posted January 25, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Having deserted a CL (meter, rangefinder problems) for an M2 I have been a little frustrated by the 50 frame that appears when the great little 40 lens is fitted. Checking the accuracy of the 35 frame, I found it slightly 'generous' but much more useful than the 'miserly' 50 frame, I considered the filling approach, but this seemed a pity, so I hooked a finger around the lever. Then it occurred that perhaps something constructed could hold the lever instead. I tried using some thin plywood to cut to shape and after much trial by error, came up with a shape that works for me, held in place by the return spring on the lever. Blackened, it is quite hard to see on the body. It is inserted by a push from the top and removed by lifting the bottom. To date it has not fallen off!! Welcome, dear visitor! 250swb Posted January 25, 2015 Share #2 Posted January 25, 2015 Clever idea, it saves filing the lens mount to bring up the 35mm frame. Just a quick thought, you could add a fillet to the basic device that slots behind the frame lever meaning it can't fall off forward away from the camera.
