Hi everybody,

The other a day a friend of mine borrowed me his Noctilux 0.95 to play around with.

So I did and changed lenses from my 50 lux to his Noctilux 2-3 times without turning of the camera (M FW 2.0.1.5).

Suddenly I realised that the screen and EVF did not show any image whereas the mode information, shutter speed and ISO was still there. Taking pictures is no problem.

The shutter does not open in sensor cleaning mode, too.

In the past I have accidentaly changed lenses a few times without tunrning of the camera without any problems.

So I did the usual things to cope problems: took out the battery, reseted the camera, had a glas of wine but the screen stayed black. Then I decided to let the camera rest over night but today it is still the same. Obove mentioned first aid procedures were done over and over, but the patient is still sick.

I there any other magic thing to be done or should I send the camera straight away to the hospital in Solms?

Thank you

Hi!

I have sometimes the same problem, after cleaning the sensor. In addition the camera make a strange noise.

My solution:

- I slide very carefully the shutter down (with a dry cleaning swap). It means I open it.

- switch off the camera

- mount a lens

- and finely make some 20-30 shots with different shutter speed.

After that the camera is normaly cured.

Maybe the Leica service people will get a heart attac reading this (I'm sorry for that), but it works.:)

Regards
