erl Posted April 26 Share #5107 Posted April 26 Advertisement (gone after registration) A genuine question. How is it possible to double expose on an M6?
grahamc Posted April 26 Share #5108 Posted April 26 (edited) 48 minutes ago, erl said: A genuine question. How is it possible to double expose on an M6? We can do it by shooting the roll (in this case the flowers) , and then re-loading and shooting the same roll again (in this case for the portrait). I made a marking on the film leader in an attempt to load the film in exactly the same position for both exposures - thinking that the frames would then line up correctly for both exposures throughout the roll. Unfortunately despite the marking the frames didn't line up, but this particular frame worked well I'll need to practice some more to solve the loading issue . Suggestions also very welcome if anyone has solved it Edited April 26 by grahamc 1

In the event I wish to do double exposures in the future, I think I will use my R8 because it has a mechanism to facilitate it, but might experiment with the M6 out of curiosity.

S Maclean Posted April 30 Share #5116 Posted April 30 i admit a little shame, but we really wanted to do this combo. Since we both shot with Leica (me q343 and she d lux8) i figured it's a fair post. the one above is her solo alone, which I fell in love with so had to extract from the exercise. Also, a good chance to see how dlux can actually peform very well against other systems.I call it: " a portrait of the photographer taking a portrait of the photographer and the portraits they made" Welcome, dear visitor! Not just because it is a pretty woman, but because the surrounding environment works so much better that this combo version. 😉

The first shot is one of the best I’ve taken. It’s my wife btw, and she is pretty , but there’s something very organic and classic about it. The moment I took it I know I had something there. But we were playing around and wanted to take the double shot, so I’m honoring that. Anyway, we agree, the first shoot is good.

I like both, but I'm still amazed by how you took them with no visible footprints on that sculpted and manicured sand🙂
