Yes, but this was a shot that was grabbed through an open door of her studio an incubator facility for artists in Des Moines, Iowa. She was unaware of my presence and I didn't want to disturb her.  What is amazing in the quality of the image after it was cropped. It says something about the lens.

Respectfully, I disagree. Without the water bottle you still would not see the work because of the back/cross lighting blowing it out. For my taste, the important thing is that one  can see that the subject is engaged in an activity that is revealed. So often I see images where someone is doing 'something' which does not reveal what their hands are doing. This image ticks all the boxes, for me.

Remembering the moment

Front light is not my favorite light situation. 

But while waiting for our food, I noticed the contrast between Andan’s front lit face

and the « almost dark» background.

Hey, be it side, front or back, or top light, if the model or situation is interesting then I press on the shutter. Or if the image is slightly unsharp (like this one), is it that important?
