Lenshacker Posted January 12, 2015 Share #21 Â Posted January 12, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've found IR blocking filters in 39, 40.5, 43, 46, 48, 49, 52, 58, and 62 millimeter screw-in filter sizes and Series VII without problems. B&W, Leica, Heliopan, Tiffen- I've bought, Marumi also makes various sizes. The last 58mm Tiffen was $27, made for the first-generation digital cameras. Some other sizes, use step-up rings. IWC Doppel Posted January 13, 2015 Share #22 Â Posted January 13, 2015 If you love your M8 you will probably end up with a 9 so do think long term with lenses too. I had about 6 lenses or so when I moved from 8 to 9. My cheap favourites are the 35mm Summaron f2.8 a stellar lens and beautifully built. The other would be the superb 50mm Super Elmar-M, another small gem.
epand56 Posted January 13, 2015 Share #23  Posted January 13, 2015 Daedra, a lens I love very much on the M8 and that is not much expensive is the Voigtlander Ultron 28mm f:1.9. On the M8 it correspond more or less at a 35mm lens. It is an LTM lens so you have to use an LTM to M adapter. But it's an outstanding performer, very sharp at any aperture, no focus shift and allow to shoot in dim light. Her you are a couple samples I took in Rome.  Welcome, dear visitor!
