andybarton Posted May 13, 2007 Share #4 Posted May 13, 2007 The four fellows from Phoenix, who trousered all the BMW money then cleared off should be strung up, IMHO. Probably. What a heritage we have lost - Allegro, Maxi, Marina, Princess - all gone... Nice details in this one Steve - but I wouldn't fancy having to peer at the temp gauge on the radiator to see if she was about to blow. My current car doesn't have a temperature gauge at all! biglouis Posted May 13, 2007 Share #5 Posted May 13, 2007 Steve A wonderful photograph. Firstly, an evocative subject which is attractive to look at. Secondly, great control of light and colour and selective focus. I agree with Andy, we have (almost) completely lost our wonderful engineering heritage in the UK. I worry especially about my students who have little contact with anything other than service industries. You wait until we have an emergency over ball bearings - that'll be a wake up call for this country. LouisB
stunsworth Posted May 13, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted May 13, 2007 It's sad what's happened. There was a news article on the radio the other day which mentioned in passing that manufacturing only accounted for something like 15% of the UK economy. How times have changed.
