IMHO that makes useless one of the nicest things about M lenses, useful focus and dof scales. It also makes life problematic with FLE lenses. But I suspect Novoflex and Leica (and other companies, which however may just be sloppy) design their adapters to allow focus past infinity for sheer expedience because they obviously can't guarantee that users' lenses are 100% to spec. You can't use a lens that doesn't reach infinity. I've shimmed my Novoflex LR to NEX adapter. I also use a Hawk's helicoid adapter (which has an adjustable infinity point).
