Contameters were made also for other cameras, including the folding square format rangefinder Super Ikonta. Retina cameras too used a similar device, which was continuously variable. It is pretty useless for people who wear spectacles.

I wear spectacles :(. Still it works fine :) Interesting, I did not know Zeiss Ikon built them as a general accesory.

 

They didn't – they were always for single camera models. In fact, there were different Contameters for the Contax I–II and the III, because on the III the Contameter sat in the accessory shoe on top of that high light meter housing, so its corrections for parallax had to be different.
