mirekti Posted November 22, 2014 Share #1 Posted November 22, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I saw on a social network an example of new CV profiles being used in LR 5.7 on M240. On a 21mm example it removed the color cast, and kind of excluded the need for Corner Fix or Flat field. This looks very promising, and opens my wallet. :-) I wondered if any owners of CV12 and/or CV15 who use LR 5.7 could post some before and after examples. Thanks!!! Ecar Posted November 24, 2014 Share #3 Posted November 24, 2014 I briefly tried the LR 5.7 profiles on a few pictures taken with the M9 and both the 21/4 and 15/4.5 (I do not own the 12/5.6). My first impressions were that: - distortion is well corrected - vignetting is somewhat reduced - red edges are still there (particularly on one side of the frame), although to a lesser degree. Therefore, subject to additional testing, I think Flat Field or CornerFix give better results - at least with the M9 and my lenses.
AndreasAM Posted November 24, 2014 Share #4 Posted November 24, 2014 I have a CV 12 mm/5.6 version II and I only use it with the Leica T, so then it is a 18mm. Hardly any color problems with the lens at all, before or after using the new plug-in. I tried it with the LR 5.7 plug-in and correction of the discortion is vastly approved. Vignetting is overall better.
lajedder Posted November 25, 2014 Share #5 Posted November 25, 2014 I code the CV 15mm as Leica 21mm f2.8 (11134) and correct in LR 5.7 using the CV 12 profile. This pretty much, if not totally, corrects the purple fringing.
mirekti Posted November 25, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted November 25, 2014 I code the CV 15mm as Leica 21mm f2.8 (11134) and correct in LR 5.7 using the CV 12 profile. This pretty much, if not totally, corrects the purple fringing. Sounds good, thanks for the tip. If you by any chance get in opportunity to showcase before and after with some blue skies in the photo, this would be highly appreciated.
