richfx Posted November 22, 2014 Share #1 Â Posted November 22, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've gone back and forth between the Zeiss Biogon T 25mm 2.8 and Leica's Elmarit 24mm 2.8 (I've tried wider, but came back to 24/25mm as my favorite wide angle focal length), and like both very much. I'm interested in knowing members' preferences and comparisons between both on the M9 and MM. Many thanks.

otto.f Posted November 22, 2014 Share #3 Â Posted November 22, 2014 The Zeiss ZM 25 Biogon 2.8 Lens Review | STEVE HUFF PHOTOS Â Seems a nice lens this Zeiss but I hate their hood policy so I comfortably stay with my Elmarit. The design of Zeiss M lenses at the front is so ugly, i can't imagine how they dare to bring it on the market. 4X5B&W Posted November 25, 2014 Share #5  Posted November 25, 2014 The 24 Elmarit is not on everyone's radar these days, but I must say after about 10 years of use it still blows me away with it's image quality…….just a great design.
Mefty Posted November 27, 2014 Share #6 Â Posted November 27, 2014 Good question, actually I would love to know from users of this focal length: How do you use it, 24 or 25mm as there is no 24mm frame with the e.g. M6? Are you using external viewfinder or is using the 28mm frame quite accurate? Â I hopf I am not to off topic??
IWC Doppel Posted November 28, 2014 Share #7 Â Posted November 28, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I rate the 24 Elmarit very highly indeed. It not only very sharp but has the ability to show image depth with ease and recreate the feeling of space and immersiveness with an image. I think the 24 Elmarit is a bargain today secondhand
