calithumpian Posted November 15, 2014 Share #1 Posted November 15, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Owning both these cameras, it is interesting to me how much quieter at auto and manual focussing, powering on off, etc the mechanics of the X 113 are than the X Vario, which now seems too noisy. I believe it is because the X1 and X2 have lenses that focus by moving outside the lens barrel. The X Typ 113 focuses internally, thus the noise suppression and less distance to travel.
