Miniot case for Leica T (Buyer beware)

Just want to share my bad experience buying Leica T case from Miniot.com, so that people in this forum might need to be aware if you happen to like the wooden case from this company.

 

Here is my situation: I ordered wooden Leica T case from this company and waited 7 weeks (after sending 4 emails). The product was then delivered but damaged. I don't really know whether the damage happened during the shipping but inner box protecting the case seems fine. So I can't say for sure that they deliberately sent damaged product to me.

 

I then reported the damage to FEDEX and they said that the company has already reclaimed the insurance and delivery cost on my behalf (as I am the one who paid for delivery) by saying that they received my email and will deal directly with me. I sent email twice asking the company about this. They don't reply at all.

 

So, I paid 251 euros (inc. delivery cost) plus custom fee and left with their damaged product.

 

My friend said that I should also mentioned in this Leica T forum. I don't really know if others happen to have the same experience but there are a few people very unhappy about this company behavior.
