I've been looking around but haven't found any information but I do know this is the place for answers.
Advertisement Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Hi madNbad, Take a look here Was the .72 the only finder for the M6 TTL Millennium Edition?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
luigi bertolotti Posted November 10, 2014 Share #2 Posted November 10, 2014 As far as I know the "real" Millenium edition of 2000 black cameras was made with 0,72 finder... but in the year 2000 Leica made some other series of "specials" based on the Millenium contents (M3 style lever etc...) and some of them have different finders.... I remember that there was a green edition (300 items) for Hong Kong with 0,85 finder,... and another series (300, or 400 ?) for a Japanes dealer (NHS.... or maybe NSH) probably also with 0,85 finder.... Of course... the 2000 Millenium items do mount the std. M6 TTL VF/RF assembly... which means that one can rather easily exchange it with another with enlargment factor different from the original 0,72x... is a modification that the factory was well disposed to do, upon due payment... Good list of specials M6 here : https://www.cameraquest.com/classics.htm
madNbad Posted November 10, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted November 10, 2014 There were so many special editions made during the production of the M6/M6 TTL with a big group coming at the end of the run. I was curious about serial numbers 2500000 and 2502000 the actual "Millennium" edition. Any time one is mentioned with a viewfinder different than .72 the word "modified" is mentioned. It's more out of curiosity than really needing to know. Thanks for the input.

I have one.
madNbad Posted January 25, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted January 25, 2015 "Black Lacquer" was the official name. The Millennium tag just came along. There was a post on a different forum about someone seeking out a .85 version but I was pretty sure they were all .72. They are beautiful cameras, I really like mine.
